Front line employees such as call center representatives select from pre-approved document templates that are linked only to content that is permitted for the unique template. The final document is the result of an interaction with the customer (what they need) and an interface to the organization’s document and data resources (approved templates and content). All documents can be routed for approval prior to production and distribution. The document template design and content management are handled by the organization’s document design team, legal representatives, managers, etc, ensuring that all final documents are comprised of appropriate content and are in line with the organization’s corporate style and format. The Elixir Correspondence System is ideal for organizations where document content is edited while working in real-time with the customer. In this scenario, the employee is limited to editing the document at levels allowed by the template. Elements of the document such as legal verbiage can be protected against editing and be imported as required by the template’s business rules. With its template-based approach, the Elixir Correspondence System skips lengthy design cycles in favor of event-driven documents where an interaction, i.e. a customer address change or other event requiring a follow-up document, drives the contents of the document.
