Data Recognition Corporation
Features Implementation of
Elixir Correspondence System
at On Demand 2008/Xplor Document University Session
VENTURA, CA – February 26, 2008 – Elixir Technologies Corporation, a leading developer of software for creating and managing high-value documents of all types, today announced that Data Recognition Corporation will be presenting their implementation of the Elixir Correspondence System at On Demand 2008.
Data Recognition Corporation representatives Kimberly Caywood, IS Manager –
Document Services Division and John Bandy, Senior Director Application
Development will co-host this presentation detailing how Data Recognition
Corporation (DRC) is using the Elixir Correspondence System for dynamic letter
generation for production print.
The web can deliver ROI for both the document stake holder and production
operation. Value can be added to a variety of areas in the document workflow
depending on the specific objectives. For DRC, the web based solution
requirement came directly from a customer who wanted to streamline the entire
document authoring, content creation, proofing, and production process. They
wanted to enable business users to create and launch new document communications
quickly and securely all while reducing their reliance on traditional document
programming services and IT staff.
The customer required the ability, via the web, to self
maintain content at the document level and proof changes in real-time --- they
required a system that provided the control necessary to ensure compliance and
100% accuracy and accountability. All without affecting the back-end production
process or requiring intervention by DRC’s programming staff.
Minnesota-based DRC provides a full suite of personalized document solutions
from data processing to distribution and their customer’s goals clearly pointed
to the need for a web component in way of collaboration and workflow. DRC
selected the Elixir Correspondence System which their customer uses today. The
Elixir Correspondence System allows DRC to control the critical production
aspects of the document life cycle while giving their customer the ability to
control all content creation, changes, approvals, and proofing.
Documents are created from templates eliminating the need for design expertise. Conditional logic and variable data aspects can also be defined and controlled. Users work with familiar tools to ensure ease of use and the internal workflow component provides an easy way to manage and control user access and approval processes. Compliance initiatives can be easily met as the system provides the ability to specify live dates for changes and the usage of new content.
The Elixir Correspondence System is uniquely positioned allowing users to quickly and easily create, launch, and manage personalized document communications. DRC understood what the Elixir system could mean for their organization and today are capitalizing on new business acquisitions.
