PageMiner provides a visual editing environment in which to load and view your native-format document pages on the screen exactly as they would appear on paper. Using the document as a template, you select the areas from which you want to extract information. Processing rules are defined for filtering and sorting the extracted information. PageMiner includes the Transformation Suite.

Migrating data that is locked in legacy print files to e-business applications is a challenge many companies are facing. Elixir has developed a solution for extracting data from legacy printstreams such as Xerox DJDE Line Data, Metacode or AFP. Extracted data can be used as an external index for archival systems, output as XML for e-commerce applications or passed to Opus to completely reformat the documents.

When converting a legacy print file to PDF, the extracted data can be used to build an external index, bookmark the PDF, or split the file into individual PDFs. Using a secure web server, the bookmarked PDF enables each customer to easily access their account statement. By splitting the file into individual PDFs, each customer can be emailed their account information.
