Global VP of Marketing

Job Desription

Elixir is rebuilding its Marketing Department and seeks a hands-on Global VP of Marketing to build a high-performing team and leverage relationships with third-party agencies to support internal teams and partners. This position requires a high degree of collaboration between Sales, Engineering, and Product teams located at headquarters in Ojai and offshore in Islamabad, Europe, and Asia. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader who can use the latest demand generation toolsets, website experiences, analyst relations, public relations, and product marketing trends to develop a strategic direction for scalable and sustainable growth.

Essential Functions

  • Build a global team of employees, including making recommendations related to the hiring, retention, termination, and advancement of employees; scheduling projects and monitoring employees’ progress; handling employees’ grievances; coaching employees to achieve their full potential via Elixir Success and Quarterly Coaching programs; and acting as a Security Designate.
  • Lead all marketing efforts including demand generation programs, marketing systems, product marketing, public relations, website, analyst relations, and branding
  • Collaborate with senior leadership team to design and deliver an integrated marketing strategy that will achieve Elixir’s corporate goals
  • Conduct a needs assessment of marketing department every quarter to identify gaps
  • Work with our prime marketing agency of choice, Sol Marketing, for Top Line Messaging, GTM’s, Branding, Positioning, Persona work, campaigns, and website activities to support demand generation and revenue growth strategies
  • Deliver on corporate revenue goals in collaboration with sales leaders globally, including a revenue commitment from inbound marketing activities to meet our fiscal year revenue goals
  • Maintain a Marketing Technology Stack (Martech Stack) that enables the Sales and Marketing teams to meet their revenue goals using the latest techniques, best practices, and analytics to drive continuous improvement on KPI’s
  • Integrate the use of data and analytics into current toolsets such as Salesforce, HubSpot, the website, and other revenue-generating tools
  • Research and collaborate with Product and Finance teams to implement[LG1] new pricing models and bundles for enterprise cloud software, partner pricing, tiered services, and support models
  • Grow and support demand generation using account-based marketing tactics, thought leadership, branding, and product positioning
  • Execute competitor R & D and benchmarking for feature, function, and product differentiation, solutions, and pricing
  • Maintain a proactive engagement with the analyst community including Forrester, Gartner, Aspire, or any other analyst agency that we Elixir engages with
  • Partner with product leaders to help drive ongoing adoption of Elixir products by connecting the product roadmap with go-to-market strategy
  • Partner with sales leaders to build customer acquisition and sales funnel, along with account retention, account penetration, and account growth strategies
  • Define marketing success metrics and report on results for go-to-market campaigns and initiatives in Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Maintain any training or certification as required, including compliance training, annual refresher training, policy training, or job-specific certifications

  • Security Designate responsibilities include: Security Designates serve as the primary security contact for their assigned business unit. They are responsible for processing reports of security incidents, data breaches, and policy violations submitted by direct reports within the business unit and for notifying the Information Security & Compliance Director (DISC) of reported incidents, breaches, ancisod violations. Security Designates also coordinate with the Human Resources Department and DISC to impose sanctions on direct reports who violate Elixir’s Security and Compliance policies or applicable legal requirements (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, etc.). Security Designates monitor fulfillment of sanctions and notify the DISC when the terms of sanctions have been fulfilled. Additional responsibilities include processing complaints related to Elixir’s security and privacy program at the department level; submitting exception requests related to Elixir’s Security and Compliance policies to the DISC; and cooperating with investigations of security incidents, data breaches, and security and privacy violations. In carrying out responsibilities related to Elixir’s Security and Compliance program, Security Designates will utilize the appropriate forms available on the Security and Compliance site on SharePoint.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Marketing or related field
  • 5+ years of marketing leadership experience, specifically in B2B SaaS
  • Must be able to work onsite at HQ in Ojai, California
  • Must be able to travel internationally every other year (when its safe to do so)
  • Experience with the following technology stack: Hubspot, Salesforce Sales Cloud, Rollworks, Wordpress, Google Analytics, Zoominfo, Office365
